TFTA Members' Day
(June 26, 2014)We are members of the Traditional Farmfresh Turkey Association and this year is their 30th Anniversary. We were chosen to hold the Members' Day on our farm to celebrate all things turkey. It was a glorious day and we had a great turn out of over 45 people from all over the country. All our members are passionate about producing top quality turkeys for the Christmas market. It was great to meet them and swap stories and ideas. There were speakers throughout the morning and then lunch. Lunch was a celebration of Kentish Produce. The hog roast was one or our pigs and cooked beautifully by smokinghotpig.co.uk. They also supplied the stuffing, apple sauce and salads. We roasted one of our turkeys from last christmas. The new potatoes, pickles, strawberries, beers, juices and wines were from Kent. The amazing puddings were from newhousefarmdirect.co.uk. (They offer a local delivery veg box scheme as well as lots of local produce and delicious homemade pies and cakes).
